Family After a few mis-trials, married to a wonderful man--Mike Kutchins, former Airport Director in SA. My older son, James, is a doctor, and younger son, Matt, newly out of the Army, is married and in D.C. working on defense contracts. Along the way, I sponsored brothers from Taiwan who are now Ph.D. Engineers and call me "Mom." My two step-sons, also Engineers, and their families live in Dallas. So it's 6 sons, 5 daughters-in-law, and the first three grandchildren.
Accomplishments   I write books on working with at-risk and disabled children and travel to other countries to help develop their special education programs.  I've done TV and radio shows to help today's parents raise healthy kids. I enjoy public speaking and seminars with my students. I've been to the MidEast often, including Baghdad and Saudi Arabia, to Asia and Europe, and have just returned from Australia, again visiting schools for disabled kids. I also have a clinical practice, working with families whose children have learning and behavior problems. My greatest accomplishment is my wonderful family.
Brief History - So What Have I Been Doing for the Last
38 Years!
After college at New Paltz, I taught high school, elementary, and middle school in Syracuse. After receiving my Master's and Doctorate at the University,I moved to Texas, where I began working with schools in designing programs for disabled children. I became faculty at Trinity University, where for 27 years,I've directed the Special Ed. program, training teachers. San Antonio has been a wonderful place to raise children in a multi-cultural setting that loves a good party!
Hobbies  My husband and I love to travel, and most years visit my cousins in Ireland,as well as planning unusual trips to faraway places. My sons are spread about the country and I so enjoy visiting them as well. I have whimsical hobbies--I'm a licensed auctioneer, have taken flying lessons (watch out!),and study foreign languages. I also love to drive my Porsche in the Texas countryside. Life is good.
Did I Leave Something Out??  I've been outside "the loop" in keeping up with wonderful friends that I recall so fondly.  Thanks to Vic,and the members of the Reunion Committee, for taking the time to remind us that friends matter.
